This is where to find Cocker Spaniel future litter information
If you are considering a puppy because you have time off from work, please note that puppies take at least 5-5.5 months to be physically able to hold it until a mid-day potty outing reliably. Please only consider a puppy if you can hire a dog walker or enroll in puppy daycare when you return to your normal schedule until the puppy is at least 4 months old(6 months preferred) to avoid potty training delays.

The next chance to breed is coming up in days. This is last call time.
Born: roughly end Oct./early Nov 2021
Ready: Christmas day at the earliest
Colors: black and/or buff only. Small to tuxedo bib white markings possible. Do not reserve a puppy if you will not accept both colors, instead check back in early October to see if we are having the litter and add your name to the contact list with the color desired.
Rate: Litter pricing varies by litter. For this litter only: All reserved puppies $2800.* Outside stud is being used: dad is AKC registered, DNA health screened clear. Read our home page for more information on how we premium raise our puppies.
Ready: roughly Feb/March 2022
Applications due: Aug 27th
Renewal of interest due: Now. application fee due in hand by Aug 27th.
*We will breed this litter with 1 reservation at a higher rate of $3500 and a paid application fee of $500.
**Special terms apply to this litter.
This mom is more irregular so a month and a half before or 2 months after are entirely possible but these are the most likely dates; watch for an update.
Hopefully born well before Christmas, we'll let you know to wrap a leash to give as a gift and enjoy photo updates as they grow without worrying about a puppy during the holidays.
The dogs ate our last puppy cam. We are considering adding a new (wireless) puppy cam to our den, please add $100 paid with your application if you'd like this feature added on with your puppy.
Litter A, 2021 - Updated
- Born: September 2021
- Ready: roughly November 2021
- Applications being accepted now.
Colors: Black is the most likely color. Black parti, black and tan, and black parti with tan points are the next most likely colors, with other colors possible.
For this particular litter, we can only accept pre-birth reservations for "black" or "any" color.
7/1/21 - Mom is likely starting her season soon. This is last call time.
Litter A(September): One female is reserved for Jann W.
Breeding puppies costs a lot more than people think and it's not financially viable for us to breed cocker spaniel puppies that do not find homes timely or for enough to cover costs. We have 2 options:
With a second household interested, puppy is $2300 with application due by July and $250 due.
- don't breed unless there is enough interest
- breed with 1 person interested in any color or gender, charge more to offset the costs($3500), and a larger application fee($500).
With a second household interested, puppy is $2300 with application due by July and $250 due.

I want a Puppy Around A date not listed, Do you Have any other litters planned?
The litters above are the only litters planned to be bred during the next 6 months, but we can help you find a puppy! For beyond 6 months, send us an email to inquire.
What colors will you have?
Our genes have most colors and markings. If you are looking for a specific coloring, tell us.
Do you have any puppies available now?
See above or the Current Puppies. If none are available, we can help you find a puppy.
Will you hold a puppy beyond the ready date?
Usually: Yes! Puppies can stay as long as needed with advanced arrangements. Puppy Introductory Training is available. Let us know your preferred pick up date.
If we have a back to back litter, puppies cannot stay long, but we can hire an independent pet sitter.
If we have a back to back litter, puppies cannot stay long, but we can hire an independent pet sitter.
Are these dates exact?
All dates are estimates only.
Dogs come into season about every 6 months, but are irregular just like humans can be. This means the birth date could be 2 to 4 weeks off.
The ready date depends on the puppy being ready to leave, both emotionally and pending vet check.

Will all colors be in all litters?
The odds are against getting all colors in one litter. Multiple genes are involved in colors. Statistical odds are "rolled" for each puppy and each coloring gene, not each litter, so the exact litter outcome can very greatly from statistics as one litter is not a large enough sample size. If you require a certain color, let us know when you apply.
What is an alternate litter?
Litters are planned on a continuous basis however breeding occurs only with a sufficient number of approved early applications so we know our puppies are wanted well in advance.
In the case of alternate litters, the timing is expected to overlap with another planned litter. We only raise one litter at a time so that each litter is raised with our full attention. We will only breed one litter.
If the actual dates differ from the estimates enough to allow full attention then the later litter becomes a tentative litter.
In the case of tentative litters, the timing is so close that the first litter would need to sell out before the 2nd litter's early application deadline in order to make sure each litter is raised with our full attention. We may ask for a paid commitment to help ensure a litter is truly sold out.

When should I apply?
Now! Applications are accepted year round. No more than one or two litters per year will be available in most cases. We use a waiting list and breed when there is enough interest. Apply early if you are interested in a future litter. Inquiries welcome for litters available beyond the planned litter dates posted.
What Is the difference between A Reservation and A Standby Reservation?
Reservations provide a head count of who wants what and is a serious buyer. It is posted primarily for the breeder to keep track, but also so other buyers are aware of who wants what.
Standby reservations are to line up additional homes
Standbys may optionally pay the Application Fee by the early application deadline to lock in the previously quoted lowest pricing and, if the standby was due to no available reservation slots, are required to pay it by 3 weeks old to lock in the previously quoted lowest pricing. Previously quoted pricing expires at 3 weeks old if unpaid and unpaid standbys may be bumped down the list if the list is full and another buyer is willing to commit.
Standby reservations are to line up additional homes
- that only want a very specific coloring
- for tentative litters(the first litter needs to sell out for us to want to breed a tentative litter)
- that aren't ready to commit right now, but will be ready by 3 weeks old

Christmas/Winter Holiday Puppy Information
Santa's helper may deliver the puppy in a Santa hat.
Puppies reserved over the summer can go home for the holidays. Puppies reserved on or after Labor Day can go home 1 day after Thanksgiving/Christmas.
Winter break is not enough time for a puppy to settle in, bond, or potty train; these are not reasons to get a puppy during a break, so think very hard on if you are ready for this 15+ year commitment. Puppies grow up fast; then, they are no longer adorably tiny and their puppy antics are no longer cute. Kids get bored of puppies just as fast as toys, so a puppy needs to be something you and all other adults want, not something the kids want and "promise to take care of" or as a surprise for the family. A puppy is a lot of work and holidays are very hectic, so puppy ends up ignored or forgotten. For best results, take puppy home after the holiday rush is over if you are like most people and will be busy.
2018: See our Current Puppies. We are a small breeder and no other litters will be ready to go home during December or early January. A puppy can be held as long as needed to accommodate your holiday plans.
2019+: We are hoping for a litter ready or born around the end of 2019, but it's too early to tell for sure. If you want a holiday season puppy, it needs to be reserved 4-6 months in advance of the holidays. Ask to be on the contact waiting list(no obligation) for a holiday puppy or check this page weekly between June(see Fall Puppies section above) and October for news($250 will be due upon notice if there are spots open on the reservation list at the time.).
2020: We may have availability. Please inquire.
2021: Currently we plan to have a litter ready to go home well before Christmas. Check back over the summer for timing updates and reserve yours now.
